One MCP interface, every compatible AI tool
Connecting Odds provides an MCP-powered interface that lets compatible AI applications search Connecting Odds jobs using natural language. You type a sentence like:
Your assistant translates that into structured search criteria — role, seniority, location, remote type, salary floor, skills — and queries Connecting Odds. There is one server, one search engine and one search contract; the AI client is simply the interface you prefer.

MCP tools
search_jobs
Search the active Connecting Odds catalogue in natural language or with structured filters. Runs the same intent-aware ranked engine as the website.
get_job
Fetch the full public detail of a single posting by its job id.
Account-scoped tools for your own profile, saved jobs and notifications are also available once you connect. Tools that don’t exist yet aren’t documented.
Security
Only public job data leaves the server
MCP job tools return the same fields a signed-out visitor sees on a job page. There is no raw table access and no query passthrough — the AI client calls a named tool with validated arguments.
Fields that are never exposed
Owner user ids, recruiter-private notes, applicant and application data, moderation state, scraper diagnostics, internal processing metadata and database credentials are excluded at the query layer, not filtered client-side.
You authorise the connection
Connecting Odds MCP uses OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration. Your AI client is redirected to Connecting Odds, you approve it, and it receives a scoped access token. You can revoke it at any time by removing the connector in your client.
Tools act as you, with your permissions
Account-scoped tools (your profile, saved jobs, notifications) run under your identity with row-level security applied. Another member's private data is unreachable, whatever the assistant asks for.
Never paste secrets
Connecting Odds will never ask you to paste a database credential, service key or private token into an AI client. The only value you enter is the public MCP endpoint URL.
Why AI job search beats scraping job boards
The usual way an AI assistant "searches jobs" is to fetch a handful of web pages and read whatever HTML it happens to land on. That approach is slow, misses most of the catalogue, and silently drops the constraints you cared about — the salary floor, the clearance, the sponsorship requirement. Connecting Odds takes the opposite route: one structured search interface that MCP-compatible AI clients call directly.
Because the assistant talks to our search engine rather than our pages, an AI job finder can evaluate the entire active catalogue in a single call, apply your hard constraints as real filters, and rank what is left by title relevance, skills, description match, category, location and pay. The same ranked engine powers the website, so MCP job search and the on-site experience never disagree.
Constraints are honoured, never invented
If you ask for roles paying at least $150K with AWS experience, both constraints survive the trip into the engine. Just as importantly, nothing is fabricated in the other direction: when a posting is silent about salary, sponsorship, citizenship or clearance, the answer stays unknown. An unknown is never rewritten as a no, so you do not lose real opportunities to a missing field.
Every search explains itself
Each result set comes back with an interpreted query and the exact list of filters that were applied. That lets your assistant tell you, in plain language, that it searched for remote senior Python roles in Texas paying $150K or more and requiring AWS — and lets you correct it in one sentence if that was not what you meant.
Your permissions travel with you
Connecting to Connecting Odds from a supported AI assistant uses a normal sign-in. The assistant then acts as you, with your permissions, against public job data. It cannot read other members' private profiles, recruiter-internal notes, or applicant records — the same rules the web app enforces apply to every tool call.
