Your role and impact
BlackRock is seeking a hands-on, analytically rigorous Vice President to lead planning and program management for the Global Digital organization. This role turns strategy into an actionable portfolio by establishing and maintaining the plan of record, leading prioritization and intake, ensuring an accurate and transparent portfolio view, and creating an operating cadence that enables timely leadership decisions. At the center of the organization, you will partner across Product, Design, Engineering, Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Marketing, and regional client business teams to sequence work against capacity, surface dependencies and risks early, and continuously optimize the portfolio toward the highest-value opportunities. You will also own the tooling and reporting that enable effective portfolio management and identify opportunities to use AI and automation to reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and strengthen decision support.
Your responsibilities
In every role at BlackRock, you'll be expected to apply sound judgement and critical thinking to solve complex problems, adapt as the business evolves, and combine the curiosity to explore new approaches and technologies with the rigor to challenge the results. The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities:
- Own the integrated plan of record and lead annual and quarterly planning cycles, connecting strategic priorities, roadmaps, delivery milestones, capacity, and committed outcomes.
- Lead prioritization and trade-off analysis using consistent frameworks that connect investment decisions to capacity and business outcomes.
- Maintain a trusted portfolio view of scope, status, dependencies, risks, and capacity, identifying constraints and recommending resource shifts toward higher-value opportunities.
- Design and maintain portfolio, intake, and roadmap workflows and dashboards, delivering concise executive reporting on portfolio health, performance, and outcomes.
- Lead complex cross-functional programs from initiation through delivery, managing milestones, dependencies, risks, and escalations across business and control functions.
- Run leadership forums, operating reviews, and checkpoints with clear decisions and follow-through, continuously simplifying governance and ways of working.
- Connect capacity and resourcing insights to prioritization decisions, while advancing shared planning standards and using AI and automation to improve workflows, reporting, and data quality.
Your experience
- 5+ years of experience in program management, strategic planning, portfolio management, business management, or product operations, preferably within a digital, technology, or marketing organization.
- Demonstrated success running planning and prioritization processes and managing cross-functional programs in a matrixed, global environment.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining portfolio, roadmap, or intake systems; Airtable experience strongly preferred, including automations, views, and dashboards.
- Working knowledge of how modern product, design, engineering, and data teams operate and deliver.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to independently produce clear, executive-level materials.
- Interest in applying AI and automation to planning, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Bachelor's degree required.
