What this job involves
As a Utility Person, you will play a vital role in ensuring our client's facility in Pasadena operates smoothly and safely. Working closely with the Facility Manager and Facility Maintenance Engineer, you will perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance tasks, manage warehouse stock and supplies, and support daily operations to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This hands-on position is essential to delivering exceptional service and contributing to JLL's commitment to operational excellence.
What your day-to-day will look like
- Assist with completing Preventative Maintenance on HVAC systems and other site equipment.
- Perform light building maintenance including filter replacement, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and waste management.
- Maintain spare and replacement parts inventories; stock parts, equipment, tools, and supplies for maintenance and housekeeping departments.
- Receive, process, and organize warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
- Collect and properly dispose of production waste and recycling according to site standards.
- Coordinate with vendors, facilities staff, and service providers to ensure minimal disruption to client operations.
- Operate maintenance and cleaning tools and equipment including general hand tools, floor scrubbers, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance, warehouse operations, or production support.
- Experience with general hand tools, basic troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
- Forklift and mobile equipment operation experience.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing 25+ pounds.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and work independently or with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and preventative maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with facility safety procedures and compliance standards.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work orders.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and work order tracking.

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Salary/Comp
$28.84/hour
This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Expected compensation for this position
60,000.00 - 60,320.00 USD per year
Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
