The Maintenance Generalist is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This position supports production in a fresh food manufacturing environment while maintaining compliance with Tyson policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore operations quickly

Perform equipment adjustments, part replacements, and repairs to maintain optimal performance

Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications Conduct inspections to identify potential equipment failures, safety hazards, or maintenance needs

Comply with all OSHA, USDA, food safety, and Tyson policies and procedures Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and safe work practices at all times

Work in temperature-controlled environments with exposure to moisture, cleaning chemicals, and production equipment

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance Ability to work around moving machinery, elevated platforms, and energized equipment
