Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $309,222 - $319,701 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award

• Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025

In addition, the following allowances and benefits, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every year.

• Provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance of $30,254 per annum.

• Subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of base salary plus on-call) of additional payment will be paid from (PPS). If not admitted to the PPS, a 35% in lieu of PPS of base salary will be paid.

• Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $17,483 per annum.

• Travel and relocation assistance support is available.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

• Holds specialist registration; or

Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway; or

Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.

• Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
