Sr Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsible for achieving a state of high-quality performance at our Supplier partners and pursuing continuous quality improvement through the application of Quality Engineering practices on Philips products/parts/services procured from suppliers throughout the product lifecycle including sustaining change management.

Your role

  • Analyze supplier-related defects, determine root causes, initiate appropriate supplier notifications, and drive corrective actions using quality tools and problem-solving techniques.
  • Support end-to-end supplier performance management, including supplier quality investigations, improvement initiatives, and development activities to strengthen quality and operational performance.
  • Provide quality support to Quality Receiving Inspection (QRI) and manufacturing operations, ensuring components consistently meet required quality standards.
  • Execute Part Submission Warrant (PSW) activities, line releases, supplier change evaluations, and internal change assessments to ensure compliance with form, fit, function, and quality requirements.
  • Ensure Critical to Quality (CtQ) requirements are effectively communicated and maintained, while assessing new suppliers' technical capabilities and leading supplier improvement efforts.

You're the right fit if

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years of related engineering experience, preferably within the medical device or another regulated industry, with broad experience in engineering functions.
  • Advanced English proficiency and strong statistical knowledge, with solid expertise in Quality Engineering and Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • Experience working directly with suppliers; ISO 13485 Lead Auditor, CQE, and CQA certifications are desirable.

For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.
