Typical Accountabilities

• Provide technical leadership to regional teams, supporting technical delivery or serving as an expert guiding the project management process.
• Lead initiatives to champion innovative strategies for project management through expertise or direct project oversight.
• Oversee and deliver expert technical support to regional and global teams to ensure project success.
• Direct the governance process by ensuring adherence to internal standards and external regulations.
• Lead or supervise team initiatives, ensuring optimal resource allocation for seamless project delivery.
• Develop, implement, or act as a specialist in communicating new project management methodologies effectively.
• Ensure all work aligns with AstraZeneca's standards and complies with relevant external regulations.
• Represent AstraZeneca and advocate for the Scientific Project Management function at external events and forums.
• Collaborate with colleagues and industry experts to establish project management priorities, offering strategic advice based on thorough analysis and consultancy while sharing expertise across teams.
• Ensure efficient management, quality assurance, and integrity of project information, data, and projections to support decision-making.
• Stay informed and keep the team updated on the latest developments, emerging trends, and innovations both internally and externally.
• Proactively identifying opportunities to integrate advanced digital solutions such as AI into workflows and championing the adoption of AI tools.

Qualifications and Skills Essential: Bachelor of Science in a relevant discipline; Extensive experience in scientific project management within a pharmaceutical or clinical background; Thorough knowledge of study management processes and local regulations; Demonstrated excellence in communication skills and relationship-building. Desirable: Advanced degree in scientific discipline; Recognized expert within business and industry; Comprehensive knowledge of current technical and regulatory standards.
