The Role
The Role:
As a Senior Technical Consultant (Shift Lead) within the Devices Factory, you will serve as the on‑shift technical authority for high‑volume device migrations between Microsoft 365 tenants for a global multi‑entity enterprise. You will lead execution across a 24x7 factory model, coordinating repeatable, runbook‑driven waves of MAC OS device transition, Kandji/IRU or Automated Device Enrolment (ADE) / Platform Single Sign-On (PSSO) activities. You will be accountable for shift readiness (tooling, access, queues), quality gates, evidence capture and rapid issue resolution so that device migrations are delivered safely, predictably and at programe scale. This is a hands‑on migration execution, technical leadership role: you will still troubleshoot complex device migration failures, but your primary success measure is consistent throughput with low rework and disciplined shift operations.
What you will do
- Lead technical delivery of device migration waves during the shift, ensuring adherence to runbooks, operational control, and predictable throughput.
- Own shift-level triage and resolution of migration failures, including ADE registration/enrolment, compliance, conditional access, certificates, and device identity issues.
- Validate migration readiness, including device inventory, hardware hashes, targeting, ADE profile assignment, and scheduling, while enforcing go/no-go criteria.
- Oversee ADE tenant transition activities, including hash collection, deregistration/deletion, re-registration, and end-user reset/re-provisioning.
- Manage the shift backlog, prioritizing tickets based on risk, SLA, and cutover schedules, with timely escalation to relevant vendor/tool support teams.
- Maintain complete migration evidence, including logs, screenshots, reports, change records, and acceptance artefacts, aligned with audit and client governance requirements.
- Coordinate detailed shift handovers, covering completed activities, exceptions, blockers, risks, and next actions, while updating runbooks and troubleshooting guides based on learnings.
- Lead post-migration validation and hypercare for device cohorts, driving root-cause resolution and continuous improvements to reduce repeat incidents.
