About the Assignment
We are looking for an experienced
PLM Business Analyst
to support a digital transformation initiative focused on product configuration and quotation processes within an industrial engineering environment.
The assignment will primarily focus on the
Product Configuration domain
, with the goal of improving digital capabilities, streamlining processes and reducing lead times across the product concept and development lifecycle.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of business operations, PLM and digital product development. You will be responsible for understanding existing ways of working, identifying opportunities for improvement and translating business needs into clear functional requirements and solutions.
You will collaborate with stakeholders across product development, engineering, manufacturing, sales and digital/IT teams, as well as with PLM specialists and technical leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing product configuration and quotation-related processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Gather, structure and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into practical and scalable PLM-related solutions.
- Support the development, testing and implementation of new digital capabilities.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
- Work with product structures, variants, configuration logic and related PLM data.
- Act as a bridge between business users, PLM teams and digital development teams.
- Contribute to process mapping, solution design and continuous improvement activities.
- Support integration-related discussions involving PLM and surrounding engineering and enterprise systems.
- Take ownership of assigned deliverables and ensure progress throughout the initiative.
Required Experience & Skills
- Several years of experience working as a
Business Analyst
, preferably in PLM, engineering, product development or manufacturing environments.
- Practical experience with
Siemens Teamcenter
, either from a functional, operational or development perspective.
- Solid knowledge of product configuration, variant management, product structures and configuration rules.
- Strong capabilities in requirements gathering, business process analysis and functional specification.
- Experience working with engineering, manufacturing or product development processes.
- Experience facilitating workshops and collaborating with stakeholders across business and technology.
- Understanding of how PLM solutions integrate with surrounding systems such as
CAD, ALM and ERP
.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for deliverables in a project with a defined timeframe.
- Previous exposure to
CPQ, quotation processes or configuration solutions
is considered a significant advantage.
