Senior Identity and Access Management Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure authentication and authorization solutions using Okta
• Configure and manage Okta integrations with various on-premises and cloud-based applications
• Establish and maintain Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Adaptive Authentication policies
• Work closely with IT security to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to Okta configurations and processes
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for Okta-related issues and act as a point of escalation for the help desk team
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure the integrity and security of Okta configurations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Stay up to date with the latest Okta features and technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
• Participate in the creation and delivery of Okta training materials for end-users and IT staff

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Okta or similar IAM platforms
• Knowledge of directory services such as Active Directory, Entra ID and LDAP
• Understanding of IT security best practices and familiarity with compliance regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation of tasks and integration purposes
• Capability to manage API usage and knowledge of API management
• Solid understanding of IAM concepts including identity lifecycle management, Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, and directory services
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• English proficiency at a B2 level or higher

• Okta certifications such as Okta Certified Administrator or Okta Certified Consultant
• Familiarity with Okta Workflows
• Experience with other security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools
• Hands-on experience performing upgrades from Okta Classic version to OIE version
• Familiarity with identity standards such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
