Senior Business Systems Analyst (Core Finance/Payroll/SaaS Security)

• Independently contribute to following areas -
• Support finance systems for Period close activities of Finance operations

• Automate Accounting Process using cutting edge technology

• Core Accounting, External reporting Transformation Projects

• Core Accounting, External reporting Operational changes

• FP&A business requests

• Identify Accounting/Finance process gaps and provide suggestions

• AI evangelist - Able to use best of class AI tools to quickly create wireframes, FSDs, use cases, test automations & other innovations.

• Partner cross functionally with other business application owners to ensure our business automation and data management processes are smooth and well connected

• Serve as a subject matter expert and champion in driving the industry best practices for evolution of the company's Workday Finance Business users

• Provide input into the IT Roadmap, including the Workday new feature rollout, implementation of new modules, and major releases

• Be a champion for Snowflake Technologies, Lead discussions and investigations regarding Workday features and functionality, contribute to recommendations for process improvements and keep application users informed about system functionality, enhancements and other operational requirements.

• Responsible for designing and implementing enterprise IT projects in the Workday ecosystem and Custom Application environment using various Snowflake Tools and Technologies.

• Duties include:
• Gathering requirements from business users;

• Demonstrate superior Finance (core accounting, reporting, FP&A) working knowledge.

• Working with cross functional teams to develop design and solutions documents;

• Serve as a primary liaison between the business stakeholders and IT;

• Managing communications;

• Manage change process for all new changes on the platform

• Develop functional specifications and system design specifications;

• Organize various scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospectives, etc.) using agile methodology;

• Assist with development of test scripts and coordinate test efforts for post-sprint testing, UAT, regression testing, etc.

• Lead quality assurance by defining testing strategies and identify risks;

• Ensure issues are identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner;

• Assist in creating training materials and documentation for Finance users including release notes

• A Bachelor's degree (preferably with an emphasis in Information Systems, Computer Science), or equivalent experience

• Minimum 3+ years of direct experience working on IT Finance Implementations or Operations as a Business Systems Analyst at a firm or corporation

• Overall experience of 3+ years or more as an IT Business Systems Analyst on Finance (Core Accounting, External reporting, FP&A).

• Experience working on Workday Finance module and other ERP's

• Experience in building Custom Applications

• Strong AI experience - Claude, Gemini, Co-pilot

• Experience of Integrating custom or 3rd party applications with Workday/Other ERPs

• Strong Knowledge of Accounting Concepts and Principles

• Good understanding and working knowledge on Databases, writing SQL queries, Python Scripts etc

• Experience in SDLC

• Highly developed written and verbal communication & interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented & should know how to adapt to changing requirements.

• Commitment to excellent customer service & strong focus on quality.

• Successful in dealing with company personnel at all levels

• Expert leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to participate in any cross-functional team and build relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally with users ranging from executive to line level

• Ability to work independently and with a team
