Summary

As a Sales Development Representative II in Manhattan and the NY Metro area, you will act as the critical first point of contact for prospective customers. This dynamic, on-the-ground role focuses on active local outreach, territory canvassing, and establishing the key relationships that drive our local market growth.
As a member of a sales team, the sales development rep is responsible for prospecting net new business, within a defined geographic territory in the small and medium market. Responsible for finding and vetting new business opportunities and developing value propositions.
Essential Functions
- Targets new business opportunities by identifying potential new customers and growing revenue, conducting background research on potential customers, discussing the customer's supply chain with decision makers and other appropriate customer representatives and analyzing customer needs.
- Utilizes Suggested Calls and other data-driven reporting to identify customer growth opportunities via call cycling and customer visits.
- Maintains regular and consistent communication with manager and peers within the Sales organization, related to joint sales call opportunities, etc. in support of new/incremental revenue.
- Maintains healthy pipeline of new leads, completes successful calls on those leads and works to schedule opportunity handoff calls.
- Navigates internal, cross-functional processes to coordinate and collaborate on support and solutions with internal teams to provide a seamless and outstanding customer experience.
- Collaborates with sales peers, marketing, finance, operations, and other areas as appropriate in identifying issues and developing/implementing solutions to support growth of revenue.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership or active involvement in school, community, athletic, or professional organizations. Ability to influence others, build relationships, and thrive in a team-oriented environment. B2B or high-value B2C sales experience using digital sales tools and CRM platforms. Experience with high-volume prospecting, lead generation, inbound customer support, and quantifiable sales success.
Minimum Education/Minimum Experience
To be considered for this position you must meet one of the following: Bachelor's degree/equivalent OR Four (4) years of business-to-business sales experience OR one (1) year of the Company's business-to-business sales experience required.

Job Conditions

Domicile
The desired location for this position is 130 Leroy Street, NY/ Lower Manhattan/Manhattan, NY. This is a customer-facing role that requires regular in‑person meetings. Candidates must have a valid driver's license for territory travel. Candidates must live within a 50‑mile radius of 130 Leroy Street, NY/ Lower Manhattan/Manhattan, NY or surrounding cities within the territory.
Pay Transparency
This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay
Pay Grade: SP2 ($3,372.00/month - $6,656.90/month)
