Project Manager Lead
Job Description
About the role
As a Project Manager Lead within Technology Development Enablement, you will provide strategic direction and delivery leadership for large, multifaceted technology initiatives. You will guide cross-functional teams through planning, execution, monitoring and closeout while aligning scope, schedules, costs, resources, risks and dependencies with organizational objectives. This role requires strong autonomy, sound judgment and the ability to turn complex information into clear decisions, commitments and executive-level communication.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead large-scale technology enablement programs, data migrations, and projects from initiation through closeout, establishing clear outcomes, scope, governance, plans, milestones, resources and success measures.
- Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans that coordinate schedules, costs, dependencies, risks, issues, assumptions and decisions across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups.
- Direct execution, monitor performance and implement corrective actions to keep deliverables aligned with agreed timelines, financial parameters, quality standards and business objectives.
- Analyze complex technical project information and data to identify trends, constraints and delivery risks, then provide actionable recommendations that support timely leadership decisions.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment among business, product, engineering, operations, finance, risk, security, vendors and other partners, resolving trade-offs and escalating decisions when needed.
- Build implementation readiness through stakeholder engagement, communications, training, adoption planning and transition-to-operations activities, with measurable follow-through after launch.
- Establish fit-for-purpose governance, reporting and quality-control mechanisms that provide transparent status, decision logs and evidence of delivery performance.
- Provide expert guidance, mentoring and practical support to project team members, strengthening project-management practices and the team's ability to deliver complex work.
What you bring
Required qualifications

- Demonstrated skill integrating scope, schedule, cost, resources, risks, dependencies, quality and stakeholder commitments into an executable delivery plan.
- Experience leading projects in financial technology, banking, payments, capital markets or another highly regulated and operationally complex environment.
- Strong analytical and decision-support skills, including the ability to navigate complex data, assess feasibility and recommend actions that improve delivery outcomes.
- Excellent executive communication, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills, with experience gaining cooperation across internal teams, clients, vendors and external partners.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, determine appropriate methods for new assignments and lead teams through ambiguous or challenging situations.
- A university degree in business, technology, project management or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Project management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP) or an agile delivery credential.
