A. SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the New Product Manufacturing industrialization and readiness of all new products from concept/design stage through pilot build, Manufacturing Readiness Review (MRR), production launch, ramp-up and final handover to Operations. The role ensures that every new product is manufacturable and can be launched safely and consistently while meeting quality, delivery, cost, capacity and productivity objectives. The position leads and coordinates Manufacturing Engineering (ME) and Industrial Engineering (IE) deliverables across the NPI process and supports VAVE industrialization activities.

Compliance, Quality & EHS

Ensure compliance with company policies, Code of Ethics, quality systems, and EHS requirements, including identification and mitigation of manufacturing safety and environmental risks.

New Product & VAVE Industrialization

Lead the manufacturing industrialization of

all new products and projects

from early product development through production launch, ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Capacity, and Productivity targets are achieved.

Manufacturing Feasibility & DFMA

Drive early manufacturing feasibility and DFMA reviews covering process capability, equipment, tooling, fixtures, testing, utilities, material flow, manpower, floor space, ergonomics, and capacity requirements.

Manufacturing Process Development

Define and validate the complete manufacturing process, including process flow, routing, workstation design, assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, testing, inspection requirements, Standard Work, Work Instructions, and process parameters.

Industrial Engineering & Capacity Planning

Lead cycle-time studies, takt-time analysis, capacity planning, manpower optimization, line balancing, layout, material flow, and bottleneck elimination to ensure efficient and scalable production.

Process Quality & Risk Management

Lead/review Process Flow, PFMEA, PTPR, Control Plan, process capability, part qualification, and manufacturing risk mitigation to ensure robust processes and product quality before production release.

Equipment, Tooling & Supplier Readiness

Ensure timely readiness, qualification, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, gauges, test equipment, and supplier processes required for successful product launch.

Prototype, Pilot Build & Manufacturing Readiness

Lead manufacturing activities for prototype, pilot, and pre-production builds; validate process, quality, cycle time, equipment, manpower, material, documentation, and training readiness prior to

Manufacturing Readiness Review (MRR)

and production release.

NPI Gate Approval, Launch & Ramp-Up

Represent Manufacturing in NPI gate reviews, approve manufacturing readiness, and drive production launch, ramp-up, and stabilization until required safety, quality, delivery, cost, capacity, and productivity targets are consistently achieved.

Continuous Improvement & Operations Handover

Drive VAVE, Lean, productivity, automation, cycle-time and cost improvements; capture lessons learned and ensure structured handover to Operations, including documentation, training, process validation, capacity confirmation, and closure of launch actions.

Performance Focus

On-time manufacturing readiness and product launch Safety and EHS compliance at launch First-pass yield / quality performance during launch and ramp-up Achievement of target cycle time, capacity and productivity Closure of manufacturing risks and launch actions Tooling/equipment readiness to project timing Scrap, rework and manufacturing cost performance Stable handover to Operations and sustained process capability

C. EDUCATION

Engineering degree/diploma in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline with relevant Experience of 6-8 Years in HVAC Domain

D. Technical Skills, knowledge and experience

Strong working knowledge of manufacturing industrialization, NPI, process development and production ramp-up. Practical knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plan, process flow, standard work, cycle-time study, capacity planning, line balancing, layout and Lean manufacturing. Ability to lead cross-functional problem solving, risk closure and manufacturing readiness reviews. Strong communication, project coordination, data analysis and structured problem-solving skills. Experience with chiller/HVAC, fabrication, assembly, brazing/welding, testing, supplier industrialization or similar manufacturing environments is preferred.
