How you'll make impact
Airwallex is redesigning its Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Program and second-line function, and this role will provide independent assurance that the program is designed and operating effectively. - Build and deliver a regional assurance plan covering the US, Canada, Brazil and Mexico, aligned to local risk assessments, products, entities and regulatory expectations.
- Map the control inventory to regional risk assessments, identify gaps in testing coverage by entity and product, and draft the annual testing plan around state examination cycles.
- Use data analytics and AI thoughtfully to make monitoring and testing more proactive, efficient and auditable, while documenting methodologies, evidence and conclusions clearly.
- Partner with local and regional MLROs, FCC Operations, Product, the VP of FCC, regulators, banking partners and senior leadership to assess control effectiveness and support expansion into new products, regions, customer cohorts and licensing requirements.
- Establish strong working relationships across a new global function, operating independently across multiple time zones and contributing to a future-ready FCC Program.

You'll thrive here if
- You're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself.
- You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly anyway.
- You hold yourself to a high standard even when no one is watching. Quality and accountability aren't external expectations; they're internal ones.

- You come to the table with a point of view, not just a problem.
