Description
We are now looking for a sub-consultant who can take on the role of Java developer. Within the area of National Assignments at ITS, maintenance and new development of three national systems are underway; the study documentation system Ladok, the admissions system NyA and the grades database Beda. The demands and expectations on the systems are high, which is why new functions and subsystems are being developed continuously. Both systems are used at virtually all Swedish higher education institutions and thus by a large number of students and administrators. ITS is looking for an experienced developer with a focus on application development with a focus on infrastructure. Development is an important part of the work carried out in the assignments where we iteratively find the best solution together with the business, which requires, among other things, continuous deliveries with high quality but also a strong desire for constant improvement. The development is carried out in teams where the work involves a combination of requirements capture, development and testing. The role involves a great deal of personal responsibility, a team-oriented agile working method in a self-leading team, and good opportunities to develop and learn to further develop larger and modern system support for the benefit of Sweden's higher education institutions. The consultant should have:
- Competency level 4
- Good communicative skills in Swedish (spoken and written).
- Relevant academic degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience of agile team-based working methods in projects with at least five collaborating teams.
- Experience in system development of larger systems in Java
- The developer should have deep expertise in working with application development in Java
The consultant should have:
- Experience working with DevOps principles and tools for automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Experience in administration, operation and troubleshooting in Linux-based environments.
- Deep knowledge of relational databases and experience in advanced troubleshooting, performance analysis and optimization of databases.
- Experience in developing study administrative systems
- Experience with SQL and/or Hibernate
- Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD)
- Experience with Spring Boot
