Location

Exercise Physiologist

is responsible for providing exercise guidance to disease management members.

How you will make an impact

Collaborates with nurse case managers in managing disease management health goals of members.
Implements the primary care physicians exercise recommendations providing safe and effective exercise instruction and guidance.
Provides member health coaching, education, assessment and support of behavioral changes to promote self-management of chronic conditions.
Provides members with education materials related specifically to member score condition.

Minimum Requirements

BS/BA degree in exercise science, exercise physiology, kinesiology, physical therapy or physical education and a minimum of 3 years experience as an exercise specialist, exercise physiologist or fitness instructor/trainer developing exercise prescriptions for special populations; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences

A minimum of 1 year cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab, and physical therapy experience in clinical setting preferred.
MS in a related field and membership in American Society of Exercise Physiologist preferred.
Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team preferred.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $55,560 to $85,932.

Location: Latham, New York, Richmond, Virginia
