Flug- und Fahrzeuginformatiker/innen arbeiten an der Schnittstelle zwischen Flugzeug, Elektronik und Informatik. Sie konzipieren, entwickeln und realisieren technische Lösungen für Ingenieuraufgaben im Bereich der Übertragung, Vermittlung und Verarbeitung von Informationen. Insbesondere Aufgaben der Echtzeitsysteme sowie sicherheitskritische Systeme werden behandelt. Im Studiengang dieser Fachrichtung findet eine Spezialisierung auf das Themengebiet Flugzeug Informatik statt. Trotz Spezialisierung bietet dieser Studiengang eine breite Aufstellung durch Bereiche der Cyber Security, Cloud Systeme und Datenbanken. Ein praktisches Avionik-Projekt im sechsten Semester dient zur Vertiefung der gelernten Kenntnisse.
