You'll work alongside senior team members and stakeholders to find opportunities to improve yield for investors while maintaining reasonable loss rates, and to improve the overall financial performance of the business. This role is a strong opportunity to build deep credit and pricing analytics skills while contributing directly to strategies that go into production.
What You'll Do
- Assist in developing, implementing, and managing credit risk strategies that involve elements of credit underwriting, pricing, loan amount assignment, and verification based on an estimation of probability of default
- Help design A/B tests to understand risk-return tradeoffs using hypothesis testing frameworks
- Build automated dashboards to track KPIs around funnel conversion and strategy/portfolio performance; summarize and present findings to senior management
- Use analytical techniques to mine loan performance data, identify pockets of underperformance, and conduct root cause analysis to help recommend risk mitigation strategies
- Support the evaluation of credit expansion opportunities to optimize risk-adjusted revenue
- Help expand the set of data used in the credit decisioning process by evaluating the value of non-traditional data sources and re-engineering the use of existing data elements
- Work closely with technology teams to ensure new strategies are implemented accurately and as designed
- Leverage both off-the-shelf and custom AI tools to assist with conducting analyses, sharing insights and generating reports
About You
- 0-1 years of experience in analytics; Bachelor's or Master's degree with a quantitative background (e.g., Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics), or equivalent work experience
- Strong technical skills such as SQL/SAS and R/Python
- Hands-on experience with BI/data visualization tools (like Tableau or Excel) to create dashboards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in analytics, credit, or risk management is a plus
- Previous experience in the financial services/FinTech industry a plus
