Computer Science | Artificial Intelligence internship: ai-assisted scheduler development
Introduction
Your assignment
During this internship, you will investigate how AI-supported development methods can be used to analyze existing software and accelerate prototype creation. You will will use AI-supported development tools to extract architectural and design rules from the documentation and codebase and consolidate them into persistent, reusable artifacts. These artifacts should describe the scheduler's behavior, responsibilities, interfaces, configuration rules, and hidden assumptions. They will subsequently serve as context for implementing a functional Python-based prototype scheduler.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Analyze existing software architecture and technical documentation.
- Extract design rules and software requirements using AI-assisted development tools.
- Develop a Python-based scheduler prototype.
- Document software behavior, interfaces, and configuration requirements.
- Validate the prototype in a development or testing environment.
- Evaluate the opportunities and limitations of AI-assisted software development.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
This is a bachelor or master internship for minimum 6 months, 5 days per week (2-3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of February 2027.
Your profile
To be suitable for the internship, you:
- Are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Have experience with Python programming.
- Have an interest in artificial intelligence, software engineering, and embedded systems.
- Are analytical, proactive, and comfortable solving complex technical problems.
- Can communicate technical findings clearly and work effectively with different stakeholders.
The internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with AI-assisted software engineering in a highly innovative environment. Through this internship you will develop valuable technical skills while contributing to real engineering challenges.
Other requirements you need to meet
