Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
- Support product development roadmap incorporating design change and implementation to current and future product lines
- Identify and support implementation of cost reduction, material optimization, design for manufacture, and material standardization opportunities.
- Support Commodity Leaders, Program Managers, Buyers, Planners, Production Control, and cross-functional teams with special projects as required.
- Ensure cross-functional project teams are staying on track to meet deadlines.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Technical background with knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and understand production drawings.
- Knowledge of machining processes including welding, brazing, punching, bending, CNC, coating.
- Experience in sheet metal, cable harness desirable.
- A quick learner and team player, exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills, ability to negotiate cost reductions with suppliers and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 7+ Years relevant work experience
