Business Systems Engineer
Who We Are
About the role
What You’ll Achieve
The big bet
By day 90,
By day 90,
By the end of your first year,
By the end of your first year,
improve data integrity and reporting through clear data models, deduplication, validation rules, reconciliation, and monitoring - including accurate ARR, pipeline, dashboard, and forecasting infrastructure.
- Raise the bar for how the team ships and operates: sound access, change management, and release practices; thoughtful documentation and tool decisions; reusable tests, runbooks, code review, and AI-assisted development practices.
Skills You’ll Need to Bring
- Demonstrated experience in business systems engineering, GTM engineering, revenue operations, or a technical sales or marketing operations role, with the ability to own problems end to end and work effectively across functions.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with a data warehouse such as Snowflake or BigQuery; you design for clean, traceable data and understand how to protect its integrity across systems.
- Experience building integrations with APIs, webhooks, event-driven services, reverse ETL, or automation platforms such as Zapier, Workato, or Tray.io . Scripting in Python or JavaScript, or building serverless integrations, is a plus.
- Familiarity with finance systems and concepts such as quote-to-cash, billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition, and the ability to work effectively with Finance and Billing Ops. Experience with an ERP such as NetSuite is a plus.
- Hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, triggers, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce automation, following the team's development and release practices: source control, pull requests, code review, automated testing, and the deployment pipeline - is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or a similar CPQ tool - including product and pricing data models, price books, bundles, and approval rules - is a plus.
- Genuine curiosity about AI, with experience applying it to day-to-day work through AI-assisted development, agents, or workflow automation. Familiarity with Salesforce administration and customization - including objects, flows, permissions, and integrations - is a plus, not a requirement.
