Your role
Join Kyndryl as an Application Consultant and become a catalyst for innovation and transformation. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of driving change and enabling our customers to harness the power of technology to achieve their ambitions. Working across a diverse range of industries - from healthcare to finance - you will serve as a trusted advisor, forging strong customer relationships to gain deep insights into business objectives and tailoring cutting-edge solutions to align technology with business outcomes. As the visionary architect behind their digital transformation journey, you will guide customers through application modernization, ensuring seamless integration and optimized performance.
What you will do
- Conduct thorough needs assessments, gather requirements from stakeholders, and translate them into functional and nonfunctional specifications using Business Analysis (BA) methodologies, use cases, and process flows.
- Drive application modernization initiatives, guiding customers through every step to future-proof systems, as well as assisting in selecting and customizing packaged solutions.
- Work closely with application architects and development staff to plan design and implementation work, adhering strictly to time, cost, and quality targets.
- Consult with clients on system compatibility challenges (hardware, OS, data conversion, training) and assist them in choosing between multiple applications and packaged solutions to drive maximum value.

Required skills and experience
- 5+ years of experience in application development, deployment, migration, and modernization.
- 5+ years of experience in application architecture, middleware, and data.
- Proficiency across a variety of technologies, including Business Intelligence (BI), database principles, programming fundamentals, SQL(Structured Query Language), hardware/software, operating systems, and networking.
- Strong technical acumen and deep working knowledge of Agile Methods, Service Architecture, and enterprise Cloud Integration.
- Strong ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred skills and experience
- Hands-on SaaS application implementation experience (e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite, NetSuite, Infor, Unit 4, PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, Lawson, etc.).
- Experience with application modernization tools (e.g., CAST).
- Experience in implementing and utilizing DevSecOps processes.
- Experience assisting stakeholders in quantifying risks and developing mitigation and remediation strategies.
