About
I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Computer Science at SUNY Buffalo. I wanted to understand AI beyond just using it, so that's my main focus, along with scalable systems and secure architecture.
Before this, I worked as a Software Engineer in fintech for 2.5 years. I built and scaled backend systems used by people around the world (across 5 markets) - writing reliable services, modernizing old systems, strengthening authentication and security, integrating third-party platforms, and improving performance and deployment workflows. Most of my work was in Java.
Right now, I'm also doing research on deep learning - looking at where the energy actually goes when you train a model on a GPU. I like building things people actually use. I made DealFlow, a platform a car dealership uses every day. It handles 300+ leads a month and replaced a process that used to take two hours by hand.
Outside of work, I mentor. I've helped 100+ students one-on-one and built a community of 30K+ followers - mostly people early in their tech careers trying to figure out their next step.
What I'm working toward
My research measures which parts of a deep learning model consume the most energy during training and inference, so we know where optimization efforts should focus.
