About the Role
As a Design Engineer, you'll bridge the gap between design vision and technical implementation. You will combine engineering expertise with design sensibility to create polished, engaging user experiences. This unique role works closely with our Product Design team, translating detailed design specifications into pixel-perfect implementations while maintaining technical excellence.
In this role, you will
- Design and maintain scalable, resilient systems that power our knowledge-sharing platforms.
- Develop core backend features and services across our product suite.
- Implement robust deployment systems and monitor performance.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver impactful features.
About You
- Proficiency in Node.js (TypeScript) and/or JVM (Kotlin) - our two products have different backends.
- Strong experience building and scaling backend systems.
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and cloud platforms (particularly GCP).
- Experience with HTTP APIs, authentication protocols, and web services.
- Track record of building production-grade systems.

Listed below is the base salary range applicable to this position. Workday pay ranges (and the precise pay offered to the successful candidate) are based on a number of objective criteria such as relevant experience and skills, and educational qualifications, level of responsibility, demands of the role, work location and business need. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants awarded by Workday Inc. Primary Location Base Pay Range: kr756,000 SEK - kr1,133,000 SEK Sweden
