Senior Data Discovery and Enrichment Expert II
About our Team
Knowledge Innovation & Taxonomy Engineering (KITE) is the team within Elsevier Operations responsible for the taxonomies, vocabularies and knowledge graphs that sit beneath many of Elsevier's products. In plain terms, a taxonomy is a structured, standardized, vocabulary of concepts, - such as diseases, drugs, materials or research topics - and the relationships between them. This shared structure is what lets our products tag content consistently, return relevant search results, connect related information, and feed reliable, well-grounded answers to AI features. Main areas of work
- Taxonomy automation development - pipelines, scripts and tools that speed up taxonomy creation and editorial work.
- Platform development and support for CENtree, the shared taxonomy-management system used across all teams.
- Automated Curation and enrichment of taxonomies with semantic structure and relationships and their operationalization as reusable services.
