Senior Data Analyst, Compliance (12-Month FTC)
Job Description
About the Role
You Will
- Partner with business leaders to pin down their core objectives and turn them into detailed functional specs and technical roadmaps.
- Lead the definition of North Star metrics and KPIs, keeping departments aligned so you avoid data silos and conflicting definitions.
- Own source-to-target mappings, logic flowcharts and business requirement documents (BRDs).
- Find the internal and external data sources each business need requires, and run exploratory analysis to surface data gaps and quality issues.
- Work closely with data engineers to design scalable pipelines, supplying the business logic and transformation rules.
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), checking transformation logic and data integrity before anything goes to production.
- Design and build reporting solutions (Tableau, Power BI or internal tools) that tell a meaningful business story, not just show charts.
- Deliver data in a form the business can use, putting dashboard UX/UI first so non-technical users actually adopt it.
You Have
- 4-8+ years as a Senior Analyst or Analytics Consultant, focused on delivering data products end to end.
- Strong first-principles thinking. You can take a vague request like "we need to increase retention" and break it into a structured data project with specific schemas, logic and metrics.
- Skill with AI tools for prototyping SQL logic quickly, automating documentation and spotting where machine learning can improve traditional reporting.
- Expert communication across technical and business audiences. You can talk JOIN logic and latency with engineers in the morning, then LTV and churn-reduction strategy with executives in the afternoon.
- Expert SQL, plus Python or R for data exploration, validation and analysis, and working experience with dbt, Git or similar tools.
- Deep skill in visualisation, dashboard building and performance optimisation, with hands-on experience in Tableau, Mode, Power BI or similar.
