Senior Consultant/Manager, Business Consulting - Japan Market

• Lead and deliver consulting engagements for Japanese clients, covering strategy development, operating model design, business transformation, and operational improvement initiatives.

• Advise clients on business and operational challenges, identifying opportunities to improve performance and drive sustainable growth.

• Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.

• Support business development activities, including opportunity identification, proposal development, client presentations, and go-to-market initiatives.

• Lead project delivery teams, ensuring engagements are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional and regional EY teams to deliver integrated solutions for clients.

• Contribute to thought leadership, practice development, and capability building within the consulting team.

• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.

• Strong consulting and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to develop practical and actionable recommendations.

• Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship-building skills.

• Strong project management and engagement delivery experience.

• Experience presenting to and influencing senior executives and decision-makers.

• Commercial mindset with experience supporting business development and proposal pursuits.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Technology, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

• 6+ years of relevant consulting and advisory experience.

• Proven experience delivering business consulting engagements covering strategy formulation, transformation, and operational improvement.

• Experience supporting and managing multinational and Japanese clients and stakeholders

• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English is required, as the role involves leading client meetings, facilitating workshops, and developing client-ready deliverables for Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.

Experience within one or more of the following sectors:

• Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT)

• Consumer Products & Retail (CPR)

• Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility (AMM)
