Senior Adobe Business Consultant
About the role
We're looking for a SR Business Analyst to join our Adobe team supporting our Client. You'll be the person who connects what the business wants with what the team builds on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). You'll shape the backlog, write clear stories, keep the team's sprints running smoothly, and help make sure every feature we commit to actually gets delivered. You'll also support our AEM content migration work alongside the feature roadmap. This is a hands-on role. You'll work daily with the client's product and marketing stakeholders, our AEM developers and architects, QA, and UX, so you need to be comfortable talking to all of them and keeping everyone pointed in the same direction.
- Work with Client stakeholders to understand business goals, gather requirements, and turn them into clear, actionable work for the team.
- Define, write, and own user stories and epics in the backlog, including solid acceptance criteria that developers and testers can work from without guesswork.
- Keep the product backlog groomed and prioritized, balancing business value, effort, dependencies, and timelines.
- Run the Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Partner with AEM developers, architects, UX designers, and QA to make sure stories are well understood, correctly scoped, and built to spec.
- Track progress against sprint and release commitments, and flag risks, blockers, and scope changes early, with options for how to handle them.
- Make sure all agreed features for Client are delivered, tested, accepted, and released on time.
- Support UAT by preparing test scenarios, coordinating with business users, and getting sign-off.
- Document functional requirements, process flows, and decisions so nothing lives only in someone's head.
- Report status regularly to delivery leadership and client stakeholders, covering progress, risks, and upcoming work.
- Help the team keep improving how it works, from story quality to estimation to handoffs.
Migration Scope
Beyond feature delivery, you'll support AEM content migration work for Client. You'll own the business side of making sure content moves over cleanly and nothing gets lost along the way.
- Work with content owners and technical leads to define migration scope: which sites, pages, assets, and templates move over, and which get retired.
- Run content inventories and audits, and help decide what to migrate as-is, restructure, or leave behind.
- Write migration stories and acceptance criteria covering content mapping, component and template conversion, metadata, URLs and redirects, and asset handling.
- Document mapping rules and migration decisions so the team and the client stay aligned.
- Plan migration waves and track them alongside regular feature sprints, flagging dependencies and conflicts early.
- Coordinate validation and UAT of migrated content, log and triage defects, and get business sign-off before cutover.
- Support cutover and go-live planning, including content freeze windows and post-launch checks.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role in a digital or web delivery environment.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets, or Cloud Service), including a working understanding of components, templates, content authoring, and workflows.
- Experience supporting content migration projects, including content audits, mapping, validation, and cutover.
- Strong track record writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile setting.
- Experience running Scrum ceremonies and keeping a team on cadence.
- Comfortable managing a backlog in Jira, Azure DevOps, or a similar tool.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills, and the ability to handle several workstreams at once.
Preferred
- Experience with enterprise or e-commerce clients, ideally in retail, manufacturing, or consumer brands.
- Familiarity with AEM as a Cloud Service, headless or hybrid delivery, Adobe Experience Platform, or the wider Adobe Experience Cloud.
- Experience with AEM migrations, such as moving to AEM as a Cloud Service or from another CMS, and with site redesigns or large multi-site programs.
- Agile certification such as CSM, CSPO, or SAFe.
- Experience working with distributed or offshore delivery teams.
- Background in consulting or client-facing delivery.
How We'll Measure Success
- Stories are clear, well-estimated, and ready before sprint planning.
- Sprint commitments are met consistently and releases land on time and on budget.
- Client stakeholders feel heard, informed, and confident in the team.
- Risks and blockers get raised early, not at the last minute.
- Delivered features match what the business asked for and pass acceptance with minimal rework. Migrated content is complete, accurate, and signed off before cutover.
