About the role
We are currently seeking a
motivated MRF Leading Hand
to join our operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who
is passionate about safety, operational excellence, and leading by example in a fast-paced recycling environment
.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the MRF Supervisor, the Resource Facility Operator - Leading Hand will assist with the day-to-day operation of the facility, provide direction and support to team members, and ensure safe and efficient processing of recyclable materials.
Key Responsibilities
•
Lead and coordinate MRF operators and processing staff
to support efficient daily operations
•
Promote a strong safety culture
and ensure compliance with site procedures and HSE requirements
•
Monitor processing activities
to maximise productivity and material recovery
•
Conduct and assist with pre-start inspections
, ensuring plant and equipment are operated safely
•
Train, mentor and support team members
to build capability and performance
•
Identify operational issues
and work with the management team to implement practical solutions
- Maintain
high housekeeping and site presentation standards
- Complete
daily operational records, inspections and reporting
•
Support maintenance activities
and help minimise plant downtime
About you
- Must be available for the
afternoon shift 1:30pm - 11pm
- Experience in
waste, recycling, manufacturing or processing operations
- Previous experience operating
front-end loaders and forklifts
- Proven
leadership or supervisory experience
in an operational environment
- Strong commitment to
workplace health, safety and environmental standards
- Excellent
communication and team leadership skills
- Strong
problem-solving and organisational skills
, with the ability to identify issues and find practical solutions
•
Competent computer skills
and the ability to confidently use company systems and software
