About the role
Being part of Cummins means working alongside today's most innovative thinkers to solve the world's toughest problems. - Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities
- Analyse inventory costs, variances and trends, identifying risks and opportunities
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain and Pricing to provide financial insights and support business performance
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls and financial requirements
- Support audits and respond to inventory-related enquiries
- Identify and implement improvements to processes, controls and reporting
- Contribute to the transition to SAP and broader Finance transformation initiatives
To be successful in this role you will need the following
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, with CPA, CA or equivalent
- Experience in financial accounting, reporting and analysis, ideally in inventory, manufacturing or costing
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including controls and compliance
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate variances and communicate insights to both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
- Experience with process improvement or transformation, with SQL, SAP, Oracle or Power BI exposure advantageous
