The Role and Impact

As a Process Integration and Yield Engineering PhD Intern, you will play a critical role in advancing semiconductor manufacturing processes. In this hands-on position, you will analyze defect data, conduct experiments, and optimize process integration flows while contributing to yield improvement initiatives. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, you will address technical challenges, troubleshoot process issues, and refine metrology strategies in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze defect data to identify trends and recommend process adjustments.
Conduct experiments to evaluate and optimize process integration flows.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot process flow issues and enhance metrology strategies.
Assist in risk assessments and support yield improvement initiatives.
Apply data analysis techniques to improve process performance and production efficiency.
Participate in continuous improvement projects within high-volume manufacturing environments.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be pursuing PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Chemical engineering or scientific field of study directly related to Semiconductor. Minimum of 6 months of experience in one or more of the following: Experience with Semiconductor materials, fabrication, and device physics. Electrical understanding of Semiconductor Devices (transistor, diode, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, high-performing team. Strong attention to detail and disciplined approach to procedures. 3.0 + GPA Preferred Qualifications: Experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g. JMP, Python, Excel). Ability to summarize data for technical and non-technical audiences. Advanced Transistor Device Structures and Device Physics. Statistical Process Control (SPC) or Design of Experiments (DOE) principles and engineering analysis tools.
