Join Monash University cyber team in a key operational leadership role responsible for the performance, coordination, and continuous improvement of a

, you will be responsible for driving the operational excellence, consistency, and maturity of the cyber security operations centre (CSOC) ensuring that detection, response, cyber investigations, and CSIRT functions operate in a cohesive, efficient, and risk-aligned manner. You will

You will act as the

, providing coordination, communication, and executive-level decision support. At the same time, you will own the end-to-end performance of the CSOC, including KPI definition, service metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive measurable outcomes. A key aspect of the role is stakeholder engagement and influence. You will regularly present operational insights, risk posture, and performance outcomes to senior stakeholders, translating complex cyber concepts into clear, actionable intelligence that supports decision-making. Working across technology, risk, governance, and external partners, you will ensure the cyber security operations centre is aligned with organisational risk appetite, regulatory obligations, and strategic priorities, while building a sustainable and high-performing operational capability.
