Lead Product Engineer
About the role
How we work
Our practice is skills-driven. A skill is a set of reusable instructions that an AI agent follows for a recurring task. The practice is still emerging, and the line between product and engineering is blurring. As Lead, you set the direction of that practice and help other teams adopt it.
Role Responsibilities
- Set technical direction:
Lead the architecture and technical approach for the products your team owns, make sound calls on complex issues with incomplete information, and keep the team's architectural decisions documented
•
Deliver hands-on
Shape what we build
Own product outcomes
Set standards and grow engineers
Lead the practice

What helps you succeed here
- Making sound technical decisions with incomplete information, and explaining the reasoning so others can build on it
- Influencing engineers and teams that do not report to you, through standards, examples, and coaching
- Communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, in writing and in person
- Giving and receiving constructive feedback in code reviews and design discussions
- Bringing structure to ambiguous problems and to processes that are still taking shape
