Integrated Content Programs Lead
Why Harvey
Role Overview
The Kind of Work You'll Lead
A typical program might start as a single sentence from leadership, an insight from our research, or a moment on the company calendar. Your job is to find the idea inside it and build it into something bigger. That could be a flagship piece supported by editorial, video, social and event content, with each part designed to strengthen the others. The programs you lead will generally fall into a few categories:
- Flagship research and reports, with the campaigns built around them
- Educational programs for the legal and professional community
- Content captured at and around live events
- Recurring video, audio and editorial franchises
- Executive, customer and talent-led storytelling
- Connected content systems for major product and company moments
What You'll Do
Originate and shape the idea
- Develop original concepts and format strategies for priority content programs
- Turn business goals, audience needs and company narratives into clear content plans
- Work out how one idea can become a connected system of written, video, social, educational, event and executive content
- Write master briefs that define the audience, narrative, creative idea, deliverables, distribution plan and measures of success
- Build interview frameworks, talent strategies, episode formats, capture plans and deliverable matrices
Lead the program from concept to launch
- Lead complex programs from early development through final delivery
- Set up workstreams, owners, decision points and creative review milestones
- Choose the right internal capabilities, external partners and production approach for each project
- Anticipate risks and solve problems before they compromise the brief, the timeline or the final work
Direct the creative work
- Protect the central narrative as work moves through development and production
- Give clear, decisive feedback on scripts, story structures, interview plans, rough cuts and other content
- Stay hands-on, especially during concept development, briefing, story development and creative review
Bring the right people together
- Direct and coordinate writers, editors, social strategists, designers, producers, agencies, subject-matter experts and executive stakeholders
- Work with Content Operations on schedules, dependencies, workflow and delivery
- Work with Social on platform strategy, distribution and audience development
- Work with Harvey Creative Studio on visual development, brand expression, design, motion and production
- Work with Product Marketing, Communications, Events, Research and company leaders to gather inputs and keep everyone aligned
Build what lasts
- Use performance and audience insights to improve future programming
- Turn successful programs into repeatable formats, franchises and playbooks
What You Have
- 8+ years of experience in integrated content, editorial development, media, brand content, content studios, entertainment, journalism or production
- A portfolio of distinctive programs that span more than one format
- Strong storytelling, editorial judgment and creative instincts
- Experience developing content from an early idea, not just executing a finished brief
- Strong brief writing and presentation skills
- A track record of leading complex, visible initiatives with many stakeholders
- The ability to work well with executives and subject-matter experts, and to get the best out of them on camera and on the page
- Experience directing agencies, production companies, writers, designers and filmmakers
- A solid understanding of video, social, editorial, research, education and event content
- Enough production and budget fluency to make creative recommendations that can actually be made
- The ability to hold a premium brand standard while moving quickly and staying relevant on each platform
- Sound decision-making, prioritization and communication
- Comfort in a fast-moving company where priorities and inputs change
- A low-ego, collaborative working style
- Real curiosity about legal technology, AI and how professional work is changing
Experience in the legal industry is helpful but not required. We care more about your judgment, your craft and your ability to learn a complex subject quickly.
