You'll play an important role in strengthening our safety culture, verifying critical controls and helping our people go home safely every day.

The key responsibility of this role is to coach, support and mentor operational leaders and frontline teams to implement Health & Safety strategies, strengthen risk management and improve safety performance.

To do this we are looking for a person who can:

• Analyse safety performance data, identify emerging risks and control weaknesses, and partner with key stakeholder to drive continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes.

• Partner with operational leaders to conduct field assurance and critical control verification

• Provide subject matter expertise in incident investigations using ICAM or equivalent methodologies, identifying root causes and driving effective corrective actions and organisational learning.

• Drive consistency in the management of operational risks across assigned areas

• Strengthen regulatory compliance through inspections, assurance activities, corrective action management and engagement with relevant stakeholders.

You're a confident, practical safety professional who wants to have an impact on an organisation and enjoys working alongside operational teams, asking the right questions and influencing positive change. You possess the ability to make safety "simple", by balancing your strong technical knowledge with a collaborative approach, that focuses on helping leaders build capability and take ownership of safety.
