GTM Engineer (Sales)
About the role
The Role
What You'll Do
Inbound automation
• Automate qualification and first response for Contact Us, demo requests, and partner leads, with a human handoff for good fits.
• Route every inbound lead to the right owner with an enriched, researched brief attached.
• Instrument speed-to-lead and set the SLA it's measured against.
Outbound automation
• Run signal-based email and other outreach campaigns end-to-end: list building, enrichment, messaging, sequencing.
• Own deliverability: domains, warmup, suppression lists, and send limits.
• A/B test messaging and report results by segment.
Sales enablement
• Deliver a daily prioritized call list for each AE and SDR: who, why now, direct dial, and a talk track.
• Route engaged campaign replies to the SDRs for follow-up.
• Capture call activity (dials, connects, meetings) so phone performance is visible.
Systems that make the automation work
• Build and maintain the integrations between Salesforce, HubSpot, enrichment, and sequencing tools that your automations run on.
• Own the fields, objects, and routing rules the automations read and write.
• Instrument your own output: source attribution for automation-sourced opportunities, and response times.
What We're Looking For
You have an engineering, data, or quantitative background, you're deeply curious about how companies find and win customers, and you may be building GTM automation for the first time. You pick up new domains quickly and ship without waiting for a detailed spec.
• A technical foundation (CS, engineering, data, or quantitative), from a degree or equivalent work, and 1 to 5 years of experience.
• 1+ years of writing product code, most comfortably in Python or TypeScript. You can build an integration against a third-party API, handling auth, pagination, rate limits and retries without supervision.
• Fluent with agent harnesses like Claude Code, Antigravity or Codex
• You have automated someone else's workflow before and can describe what the before and after looked like.
• Evidence of self-directed building: side projects, automations, or tools you made because you wanted to, not because you were assigned.
• Commercial curiosity: you're interested in why buyers buy and what makes outreach work, not only in the technology.
• You explain technical work clearly to Sales and Marketing, and you're comfortable being measured on pipeline.
Nice-to-have
• Exposure to Salesforce, HubSpot, Clay, Apollo, or similar tools.
• Time in a sales, SDR, growth, or marketing ops role.
• Interest in CPG, retail, or supply chain.
• Startup experience.
