Psychiatric Licensed Practical Nurse

The LPN at the Wilkes Barre VAMC participates in the interdisciplinary team in the development, implementation and evaluation of the patient's treatment plan; interacts with patients in groups in accordance with the patient's treatment plan; observes, identifies and responds to the patients' needs for nursing, medication, and equipment assisted care and recognizes deviations from normal; demonstrates the knowledge, skill and ability to recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations. You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
