Position Summary
As the Technical Lead for Electronic Engine Controls supporting Rolls Royce AE family of engines, you will be leading a team of engineers supporting AE engine control programs through the complete system/software development lifecycle.
In this role you will be interfacing with AE program team, external customers, Airworthiness, and others throughout the development lifecycle. This is a technical leadership role with significant technical management responsibility, that is expected to work effectively in a challenging, self-directed, and agile environment and ensures robust, timely program delivery.
What you will be doing
- You will be responsible for leading a team through the system/software development phases from program planning through service release as outlined in ARP4754 and DO-178
- You will be communicating a clear view of all technical development activities and technical risks to team members and internal/external stakeholders
- You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and plans required to meet the program cost and schedules.
- The ability to clearly communicate with internal and external customers is required.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM and 2+ years of system or software development experience; Or
- Master's degree in STEM
- PhD in STEM
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen
Preferred Requirements
- Engineering Degree preferred
- Project/Function Management Engineering Experience
- Demonstrated experience of successfully delivering engineering technical projects/tasks to time, cost and quality, and leadership of teams to do the same
- Experience of collaboration with diverse teams
- Experience with DO-178, ARP4754, or similar certifications
- Gas turbine engine controls experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment; willingness to accept responsibility and take initiative; and drive to finish assigned tasks on schedule
- An excellent command of the English language for both written and oral communication
