Practical Nurse -Specialty Clinics

The James A. Haley VA is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to work in Nursing Medicine Specialty Service. The Licensed Practical Nurse in the Nursing Medicine Service is a member of the nursing team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs assignments requiring licensure as a practical nurse. The LPN recognizes and responds appropriately to emergency situations, promotes virtual care modalities based on need, and is able to keep up with fast paced environment. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Must be able to meet physical demands which include strenuous physical activity to include carrying persons and equipment, walking long distances over difficult terrain, running, climbing, working long hours in primitive or arduous conditions, long periods of standing, and bending and stooping.
