Job Summary

Act as the

bridge between business (store operations) and engineering

, ensuring Oracle Xstore POS solutions are

functionally aligned, technically feasible, and rollout-ready

for multi-country deployment. The role will own

fit-gap analysis, requirement translation, UAT support, and solution validation

across UK rollout and subsequent markets

A. Functional Ownership & Fit-Gap Analysis

  • Lead

fit-gap analysis for Oracle Xstore POS

against business processes

  • Define and document:
  • Business Requirements (BRDs)
  • Functional Specifications (FSDs)
  • User stories with acceptance criteria
  • Ensure alignment of:
  • UK regulatory requirements
  • Global POS template vs local adaptations

B. Techno-Functional Solutioning

  • Translate business requirements into

techno-functional Xstore solutions

  • Collaborate with:
  • Development teams (customization/configuration)
  • Integration teams (upstream/downstream systems)
  • Ensure feasibility across:
  • POS workflows
  • Integration layers
  • Deployment constraints

C. POS Functional Expertise (Core Scope)

Drive solutioning and validation across:

  • Sales, returns, tenders
  • Pricing, promotions, tax handling
  • Omnichannel flows (if applicable)
  • Ensure consistency across:
  • Store operations
  • Customer experience

D. Integration & End-to-End Alignment

  • Work closely with integration teams to ensure:
  • Alignment with ERP, SAP, SAP CAR, Workforce systems
  • Validate:
  • Data flows (inbound/outbound)
  • End-to-end business process continuity

E. UAT, Pilot & Store Validation

  • Lead and support:
  • UAT planning and execution
  • Business validation workshops
  • Enable:
  • Pilot store readiness
  • Store acceptance and go-live readiness
  • Act as

F. Rollout & Deployment Support

  • Support:
  • Deployment readiness
  • Cutover planning and business validation
  • Ensure:
  • Store readiness (configurations, workflows)
  • Minimal disruption during rollout

G. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with:
  • Business stakeholders (store ops, retail SMEs)
  • QA teams (for validation and defect triage)
  • Development teams (solution delivery)
  • Program leadership (status, risks, decisions)
  • Ensure

Core Skills

  • Strong expertise in:
  • Oracle Retail Xstore POS
  • POS functional design and operations
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • BRDs, FSDs, user stories
  • Fit-gap analysis and solution design

Functional Expertise

  • Retail store processes:
  • Sales, returns, tenders
  • Promotions, pricing
  • Customer transactions
  • Exposure to:
  • Multi-country retail environments
  • Regulatory considerations (UK preferred)

Techno-Functional Capabilities

  • Understanding of:
  • Integration ecosystems (ERP, SAP, downstream systems)
  • Data flows and system interactions
  • Ability to:
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Work across functional and technical teams

Delivery & Process Skills

  • UAT execution and business validation
  • Agile/Sprint-based delivery model
  • Stakeholder management and communication

Experience Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in:
  • Retail POS implementations
  • Oracle Xstore programs (preferred)
  • Proven experience in:
  • Multi-country rollout programs
  • Acting as

  • Successful UAT sign-offs across UK rollout
  • Accurate fit-gap analysis with minimal rework
  • High business adoption during pilot and rollout
  • Minimal functional defects during go-live

Stakeholder Interaction
