What would make you a strong fit
Exceptional product judgment
8+ years
product experience shipping cloud platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products - or adjacent technical products, with the ability to get to working knowledge of unfamiliar infrastructure quickly. You don't need to be an infrastructure expert; you need engineers to respect you in a design review.
- Demonstrated track record of
turning customer pain into a prioritized roadmap
and driving cross-functional programs to completion.
- Experience
shipping products under regulatory constraint
. FedRAMP, CJIS, or DoD RMF is ideal, but SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI, or financial regulatory work counts. What matters is that audit and certification requirements have shaped what you could build, and you've run the organizational work to meet them - not that you've done it in a federal context. You can translate regulatory controls into product requirements and run the organizational workstreams to meet them.
- Track record of shipping platform features that materially improved reliability, scalability, security, and/or cost. Comfortable making tradeoffs and driving decisions with incomplete data.
- Strong program management and stakeholder influence skills - you can align engineering, security, legal, sales, and customers toward common goals without formal authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience briefing executives and external auditors.
- This role will be driving the development of products for our military customers, and is subject to U.S. export control laws and government contract requirements. As a result, this position is open only to U.S. citizens or Green Card holders. Skydio does not offer employment-based visa or permanent residency sponsorship for this role.
- Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment is strongly encouraged for all Skydio employees and required for certain positions.
