Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in a state bar.
- 4-7 years legal experience at a law firm with banking law and/or securities law related to intermediaries such as broker-dealers and investment advisers.
- Experience with crypto, blockchain, or digital assets desired but not required.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize activities, and meet deadlines with strong organizational skills.
- Must be a self-motivated professional with excellent people skills and able to work independently.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
What you'll do
- Provide legal advice related to strategic and growth initiatives involving digital assets.
- Draft customer agreements and disclosures related to new products.
- Draft and negotiate intermediary agreements with third party alternative investment providers and issuers.
- Provide legal guidance on related marketing or disclosures, and policies and procedures.
- Monitor regulatory developments applicable to digital assets and advise senior leadership and the business on the impact.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with the digital asset business, strategy, and operations teams and compliance and legal colleagues to ensure clear alignment and priorities within the appropriate legal and regulatory framework
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or other incentive opportunities.
