At EY wavespace AI & Data CoE, we help organizations unlock value from AI and Data. Our multicultural team combines strategy, architecture, engineering and innovation to deliver modern data platforms and AI-enabled solutions for leading organizations. We are looking for a Lead Data Architect to shape enterprise-scale data platforms, advise clients on architectural decisions, and lead the delivery of innovative data solutions using technologies such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake and emerging AI capabilities. This role combines technical leadership, client engagement and solution architecture in a fast-growing and collaborative environment.

What you'll do

As a Lead Data Architect, you will play a key role in defining and delivering modern data and AI solutions from strategy through implementation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the architecture and design of modern cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions.

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating business objectives into scalable technical architectures.

• Define architecture standards, reference designs and best practices for enterprise data platforms.

• Guide teams on data modeling, data governance, integration patterns, ETL/ELT frameworks and data quality.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, AI Specialists, Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

• Support pre-sales activities including solution shaping, estimation, discovery workshops and proposal development.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to enhance our AI & Data offerings.

• Mentor and coach team members, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.

• Contribute to reusable accelerators, reference architectures and innovation initiatives within the AI & Data CoE.

Required

• Strong experience in Data Architecture, Solution Architecture or Data Engineering Architecture roles.

• 10+ years of relevant experience.

• Proven experience designing and delivering modern cloud-based data platforms.

• Expertise in data architecture, data modeling and enterprise data platform design.

• Hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks and/or Snowflake .

• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Ability to work directly with clients and business leaders.

• Fluent English and Spanish.

Preferred

• Experience within consulting, professional services or large-scale transformation programs.

• Experience supporting pre-sales activities, proposals and solution estimations.

• Knowledge of data governance, data management and enterprise architecture practices.

• Exposure to AI, Analytics and Generative AI initiatives.
