The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and govern enterprise infrastructure architectures across compute, storage, backup, virtualization, and data center environments.
  • Develop infrastructure blueprints, technical designs, standards, and architecture documentation.
  • Lead infrastructure sizing, capacity planning, and resource management to ensure scalability and optimal performance.
  • Design and maintain High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, and business continuity solutions.
  • Evaluate and optimize infrastructure platforms by identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
  • Review and approve infrastructure solutions to ensure alignment with architecture standards, operational requirements, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support infrastructure deployment, modernization, and lifecycle management.
  • Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise on infrastructure architecture, virtualization, capacity management, and resiliency planning.
  • Evaluate emerging infrastructure technologies and advise clients on suitability, risks, dependencies, benefits, and implementation considerations.
  • Drive modern engineering and operations practices including automation, DevSecOps, observability, FinOps, SRE principles, infrastructure-as-code, platform engineering, and operational resilience.
  • Support AI-enabled transformation by ensuring infrastructure readiness for AI workloads, data platforms, model hosting, GPU/accelerated compute where applicable, secure connectivity, observability, and scalable platform operations

Required Experience and Skills:

10+ years of overall experience

4+ years' relevant experience in banking or financial services

  1. Core Infrastructure Design Compute
  • Storage, backup architecture
  • Data Center design, management
  • Infrastructure resource sizing & capacity management
  • Compute/storage virtualization
  • Architecture / technical environment design and documentation

2. Operations, Capacity & Performance

  • Performance bottleneck identification & resolution
  • Capacity Planning
  • HA and DR architecture alignment

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or equivalent.
  • MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc., or equivalent postgraduate qualification is acceptable.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is desirable.
