Cyber Security Specialist - Zscaler

The Cyber Security Specialist - Zscaler is responsible for the implementation, administration, optimization, and support of Zscaler security platforms within a global enterprise environment.

The role serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cloud-delivered security, Zero Trust Network Access, Secure Web Gateway, and secure internet access solutions.

The specialist will collaborate with security, network, identity, and infrastructure teams to enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture, ensure policy compliance, and provide technical leadership for Zscaler-related initiatives and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• The individual will be responsible for designing and maintaining Zscaler security policies, supporting complex incident resolution, driving platform improvements, and ensuring the availability, performance, and effectiveness of Zscaler technologies.
• The role also requires participation in security transformation projects, technology integrations, governance activities, and mentoring of junior security professionals.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10 years of experience in Cyber Security, Network Security, or Infrastructure Security.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Zscaler technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related discipline.
• Strong experience with: Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) Zscaler Client Connector Secure Web Gateway (SWG) Zero Trust Architecture URL Filtering and SSL Inspection Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Cloud Security Controls
• Good understanding of: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Proxy Technologies SAML, OAuth, LDAP, Active Directory, Entra ID SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel Security Incident and Problem Management Processes

Preferred Skills

• Zscaler Certified Administrator (ZCCA) preferred.
• Zscaler Certified Professional (ZCCP) preferred.
• Preferred Certifications- CISSP, CCSP, Security+, or equivalent cybersecurity.
