About the Role
As a Care for Customer Specialist, your core responsibility is sales, relationship building, and business growth. You will conduct in‑depth reviews of each customer's business and banking needs, focusing on identifying opportunities to strengthen the partnership and position ANZ as their main financial institution. A major part of the role includes opening business accounts for both new‑to‑bank and existing customers to support their ongoing transactional needs. You will also be responsible for timely actioning of leads and customer requests to action and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
You will also drive customer activation and engagement through quality onboarding conversations and timely check‑ins. By uncovering cross‑sell opportunities and educating customers on ANZ's business and digital solutions, you will build confidence, deepen relationships, and win more of the customer's business.

- A passion for helping business owners succeed and achieving exceptional customer outcomes.
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing sales and service teams.
- A strong track record of driving business growth and achieving financial targets.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and convert customer opportunities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to inspire accountability, manage competing priorities and lead through change.
- Sound knowledge of banking products, customer service best practices, and risk management.
- A growth mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and capability development.

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Genuine passion for helping business owners start up, grow and run their business
- Strong customer focus and understanding customer needs and ability to complete requests/solution implementation end to end
- Ideally have a proven track record demonstrating excellent results working on KPIs/targets
- Phone-based customer service experience and financial services exposure are ideal, but not required
- Understanding of small business & commercial markets would be highly regarded
