Transportation Security Specialist (ROC)

Securing Travel, Protecting People - At the Transportation Security Administration, you will serve in a high-stakes environment to safeguard the American way of life. In cities across the country, you would secure airports, seaports, railroads, highways, and/or public transit systems, thus protecting America's transportation infrastructure and ensuring freedom of movement for people and commerce. Ability to obtain and retain Secret security clearance. Ability to obtain and retain TSA travel card. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and is subject to post-employment random drug and alcohol testing. Must be available for duty worldwide, including areas or locations that may be dangerous and may have to tolerate austere living conditions. Work may require driving or traveling by motor vehicle and occasionally involves regular and recurring exposure to moderate risk or discomforts that require special safety precautions. Foreign travel is required and may be extensive (60-85% of the time). Must have successfully completed the Aviation Security Inspection Basic Training Course (or equivalent). This position is contingent upon successful completion of the Foreign Airport Assessment and Inspections Course (FAAIC). Position required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with TSA Directive 1100.73-5 Employee Responsibilities and Code of Conduct.
