About us

AB InBev is the leading global brewer and one of the world’s top 5 consumer product companies. With over 500 beer brands, we’re number one or two in many of the world’s top beer markets, including North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

About the role

The Country Director, Australia and region will be ABI's senior accountable leader for the Australia business. The role owns the full P&L, leads the AOP and commercial strategy, and is responsible for translating ABI's growth ambition into a sustainable, partner-led operating model across this country.

The Country Director has one clear country agenda, stronger senior relationships with 3 local partners and new partners, improved route-to-market execution, and a scalable commercial model for Corona and future ABI portfolio growth.

What you'll do:

  • Owns the full country economics and makes choices that improve sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Builds senior relationships, negotiates priorities and holds partners accountable for performance.
  • Turns ABI ambition into clear market choices across brands, packs, customers, channels and investments.
  • Designs routes to market and customer models that improve access, control and execution quality.
  • Builds long-term brand equity while delivering annual volume, revenue and margin commitments.
  • Builds teams, decision rights and routines that raise market capability over time.
  • Frames decisions, risks and trade-offs clearly for ABI leadership and partner executives

What you'll need:

  • 15+ years of senior commercial, country management, general management, sales leadership or partner-led market leadership experience, ideally in beer, beverages, FMCG or premium consumer goods.
  • Proven full P&L ownership, including ability to manage revenue, volume, margin, trade investment and financial delivery across annual and multi-year horizons.
  • Strong experience managing strategic partners, distributors, retailers or route-to-market partners at senior executive level.
  • Deep commercial capability across AOP, customer strategy, RGM, trade marketing, RTM, portfolio, innovation and performance management.
  • Experience leading teams and matrix organizations where influence, governance and clear decision rights are required.
  • Australia/New Zealand or APAC market experience is strongly preferred; experience with alcohol, regulated consumer categories or partner-led operating models is a strong advantage.
  • Executive communication capability, high ownership, strong judgment and ability to create clarity in complex, partner-dependent markets.
