About the role
The Global Tax CoE exists to enable the execution of EY’s “All In” strategy and accelerate the Tax “Paradigm Shift”. It is where we incubate emerging solutions, operate our most complex deals and innovate through our market-leading luminaries.

As our Manager – Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) Global Operations, your main objective is to achieve business growth by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision-makers, informing them of our service offerings, capabilities and credentials and communicating how these will benefit their organizations. EY GCR services help companies achieve their strategic objectives for outsourcing their tax and finance compliance and reporting functions at a local, regional and global level. This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney or Naarm - Melbourne . Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
About the role
In this role, you'll lead the delivery of complex tax engagements while building strong stakeholder relationships, coaching teams and contributing to the transformation of global tax service delivery.
- Manage and coordinate global and regional tax compliance and tax advisory engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Develop engagement budgets, determine resource requirements and oversee engagement delivery across multiple teams and jurisdictions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key decision-makers, proactively managing expectations and delivering exceptional client service.
- Lead, coach and develop team members while fostering knowledge sharing, collaboration and open communication across onshore and offshore teams.
- Support continuous improvement, innovation and transformation of global tax delivery models, including the adoption of new technologies and AI-enabled ways of working.
Skills and attributes for success
- 5+ years of relevant business tax experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex tax engagements, projects and stakeholder requirements across multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, analytical and organisational capability, with the ability to develop and support high-performing teams.
- Proven ability of managing complex and sizable assignments.
- A genuine interest in tax technology, AI-enabled ways of working and continuous improvement, together with a commitment to ongoing learning and innovation.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- CPA or another relevant professional qualification, completed or in progress.

We offer a competitive salary which is open to negotiation pending on skills and experience.
